Almond Cookies

You Love Almond Cookies?
Here's how to bake it.

Personal experience:
I took about 1.5hrs to finish making these.
You can make about 80 pieces.

Here's the recipe you need:

A:
120g of almond powder ( also ground almond)
180g plain flour
120g caster sugar
1/4 tsp of salt
1tsp of baking powder
1tsp of baking soda

Take Note that tsp means tablespoon.
The big metal spoon you used to eat chicken rice.
NOT the small one you use to stir your coffee/tea with.

B: 120ml of cooking oil( corn or sunflower oil/use unflavoured oil pls)

C: 1 egg YOLK. (only egg yolk)

Mix (A) together into a big bowl like this:

Pour in the cooking oil.

Mix it well with your hands.(remember to wash them with soap!)

It will not be kneaded into those bread or cake dough.
It will look something sticky but dry.
Something like what's below:

Find yourself a comfortable place.
Grab the amount of the size about a 20-cent coin.
Make it round and nice.
Then place it on the baking trays with tracing paper.

At this point,
in order to save time,
start to pre-heat the oven at 180 degrees first.

Afterwhich, prepare an egg with ONLY THE YOLK in a bowl.
Find a brush or use your may use your index finger.
Spread a thin layer of egg yolk on each of the mixture.

not too much otherwise the cookie will turn dark brown.

Once the first tray is filled and the oven hot enough,
push the tray in.
Although the recipe book says to bake about 15-20min,
mine only took about 12min.

Do make sure you don't overcook it.
Try to make the rest of the cookies while tending over the oven once in awhile.
Make sure the outside's not too brown.

But also,
don't take it out below 10min because the inside might not be cooked yet.

Alot of yolk and little yolk- can tell the difference?

Last of all,
make sure the cookies are ENTIRELY cool before packing it into the bottles.
Otherwise it'll be soft the next day.

GOOD LUCK UPON YOUR FIRST TRY!
