Attitude

Who says you can't have an attitude?!

It's only a matter of whether it's a
positive, or a negative one...
Attitude changes everything for,
a small attitude can make a BIG difference.

I have attitudes too;
Just had a bad one though.
I was frustrated having to have to do explanations for DD.

How to navigate our way to Sembawang,
How I'm bringing him to Johnson's 21st Birthday Bash,
How I wish he could rest at home...

The frustration was more than having to explain to him.
I've been explaining MATHS WORD PROBLEMS to 2 classes,
back to back from 5.30pm-9pm.
To think you know how sick explaining may be.

Come on,
I'm offically off work.
Give. Me. A. Break.

Yet at the end of the day,
it voice down to the fact that
Life is always about explaining.

Communication...
Sigh...

Body World Singapore

The trip to the Singapore Science Centre
makes me feel young again.

I was running about the exhibits,
laying my fingers on every display I came upon.
The never-ending optical illusion displays,
scienctic experiments, DNAs, Eco-Garden etc.

DD was just as fascinated.

While I was busy fluttering from one point to another,
he was busy with his as well...

"BB, woa! Come see this!"
"BB, come come, check this out!"

I was terrified of this T-rex.
So, i told DD to strike a pose while I zoomed in to the maximum zoom
of my camera to help take a picture of him from the drop off point.

I mean,
the T-rex can open its humongous mouth and growl at you!
What if it really comes alive?!
Perhaps,
i watch too much movies.

Now you see my body,

Now you don't.

Where's my body?!
I guess,
you wouldn't want to know where. :)

FYI,
there's a really weird smell as you climb into the opening-
a mixture of sweat, althele foot and Baby's saliva.
Nonetheless,
I sacrificed for the camera and
a not-really-very-professional photographer.

I was hogging the exhibit when i realize
the long queue behind me after i climbed out.
*Bleah*

The 'listening while talking' exhibit left me thinking
whether DD was really okay 'up-there'.
He was laughing to himself,
talking, sighing, singing to the phone.

The catch here is,
the speaker in the phone will only tell you jokes
while you SPEAK into the phone.
So if u're in silence,
so will the speaker from the phone be.

Where was I?
Catching him red-handed and laughing hard like a mad woman at a corner.

We're the Horbits!
You know,
HOrbits from Lord Of The Rings?
Horbits Rock!

At the eco-garden section,
we simply wouldn't give up waiting to see hatching chicks.
There were two chicks,
trying to break out of their shells.

I think we spent a good 15minutes at the incubation Dome,
waiting for that miraculous moment.
But the chicks got lazy and stopped trying for awhile.

So we gave up and decide to come back again
after our visit to the Body Worlds.
I wish I could give all of you more insights to how
it's like in there.

But FYI:
No photography, food and drinks,
and the usage of phones are allowed in Body Worlds.
So you'll all have to go in there yourselves.

By the time we went back for the chicks,
one of the chicks was already out of its shell,
amazed by the world it first met.
We missed its first moment...

Anyway,
Please, show your respect to these dislays.
The bodies are being donated by real human beings.
After being donated,
these corpses are then plastinated and dissected to be studied.
Which means,
that the foetuses(some still attached together with the wombs)featured were real too?!
omg.

Before I forgot to mention,
the eyeballs of these displays freaked me out seriously.
Their eyes shone with depthful meanings no words could describe.
I overcame my fear of looking into their eyes with my great curiosity;
The curiousity of wanting to know how the creator of Body Worlds had managed to
dissect and display human corpses in such a way
that hr doesn't not look pervertic and homicidal to visitors.

He is successful in this case.

I was telling DD,
imagine if he hadn't been successful in this project,
he'll be wanted and termed as some psychotic serial killer.

I was quite offended when some kids who came with their parents,
saying about how fake those displays were.
Some of these young children even critisized how ugly the displays looked.
They were running about, almost knocking over the displays.

And there's this man who,
as if running a million-dollar business,
refused to switch his phone to silent mode.
His phone rang for several times and echoed in the entire building.

What a nuisance.

Parents should educate their children the proper way to behave.
They should tell them the truth about this exhibit that
they are looking at REAL people who are dead and to respect these great people
who sacrificed their bodies just so the living generations can
understand the importance of keeping healthy and love their bodies.

I feel that if children are too naive and young to understand,
then it is adviseable not to bring them along so they can disturb other people.
There'll be another chance to come again when they're older.
Similarly,
if you, as the parent,
think that you cannot get your kid to behave and understand,
hire a babysitter or leave that at your mum's place first.

To these body and organ donors, experimental specimens and
not to forget, the sacrificed animals,
i give you my deepest condolences and greatest respect.

This is truly a perfect combination of Science and Arts,
and beyond...
Most of these bodies belong to adults and not the elderly...
They must've died young...

Notice the Plastinated Body of the giraffe in the background from the picture above?
It's cool right?!

However,
i felt somehow,
the organiser should better organised these exhibits.
The walk-through is so widely spread-out,
DD and I keep going in rounds.
On top of that,
the information were just too much that I got dizzy after a while.

For example,
the lungs and diaphragms are no doubt classified in the same section,
but the display glasses were formated in circles together with the body exhibits talking about muscles and their nervous system.
So,one minute i was reading about muscles.
The next,
I've to digest information on Lung cancer.

The outside world is still a much better place.
Despite the hot afternoon sun,
I was out at the Kinetic Garden playing the xylophone.
:)

I even whispered "I love you" into 'The Disc'.
The Disc is a great invention consists of two big yellow curved walls made of cement,
one each at two far ends of the garden.
A metal ring is attached to the yellow walls
and when u speak into it even if you whisper,
you can hear it loud and clear from the other end.

He was already walking away from his disc when I thanked him
for bringing me to the Science Centre despite his hurt ankle.
He was crouching throughout our trip because of the soccer game he played
on Saturday.
I guess he hadn't heard me.

Thank you DD!

The New Year Holidays!

Happy New Year!

It was a long holiday,
from Saturday to Tuesday.
Yet it whisked by in a flash.

Well I guess it's never too long for holidays...
That is,
unless your finances starts running out.

From places to places,
I've never visited so many houses in a day all my life!
From Grandma to Aunts and Uncles,
to God-dads, siblings and friends.

It's tiring nonetheless,
worthwhile.

We visited DD's relatives on the first day,
my relatives on the 2nd and went to Sembawang GOd of Wealth temple,
and our friends on the 3rd.

DD and I had our little privacy time at Marina Barrage-
our first Valentine's together.
We caught 'True Legend' @ Gold Class Vivocity for a
belated Valentine's Celebration on the 3rd day of New Year.

My holidays were well-spent,
all thanks to my lover boy,
who is willing to do that with me.

Nave's in Sabah for 10 long days
to celebrate HIS new year.
Mum's in Phuket snokerling under the sun.

When's my turn to go out of town for awhile?
Since i've never been on a plane before,
i reckoned it'll really be a thrill to do so!
For my first flight,
I'm definitely getting WINDOW SEAT!

Happy New Year to all!

Even the sky is so blue and beautiful...

This is Joyden- DD's newphew.

Before we caught the movie, we had KFC at Harbourfront Centre.

Li Fu Kor's New Born Baby Boy- Xie Wei Jie, Jayden.
He's my God-Newphew!
He's less than a week old and SooooOo Tiny!

I'm so loving him!!!
HAHAHA...

My Silly Puny Girl

My Silly Big Guy calls me
His Silly Puny Girl.

What's 'puny'?!

Anyway,
I am supposed to be studying for tml's marketing test.
Yet i'm here,
Unable to focus because there're too many OTHER stuff going through my mind:
What I'm going to teach for tuition later...
What else to install for my new Blackberry phone...
What should I pack for tuition later...
Where to get my lingerie....
When is Harry going to invite me for the sneak preview of the Happy-Go-Lucky Movie...
What is DD doing...
What does 'puny' stands for...
What else do i need to prepare for the upcoming primary school event...
How and where to get sponsors...

This is my first time being an organisor for such a Big Event.
Some of my friends and I are planning to invite all our schoolmates.
Which means we'll be inviting 400+ people!

I am worried about me being a perfectionist.
I guess organisors like us have all the same skeptical thinking;
will they turn up?
Though i've been repeatedly telling myself to take things easy,
I can't sleep well thinking about all sorts of possibilities and what i should do
in order to make the event a successful and memorable one.

Somehow Mom's phonecall soothen my vexation a little.
Just had a LONG 1+++ phone chat with her.
I feel simply motivated to work harder to give her a better life.

Mom,
I love you.

How I adore them...

Warning: NOT FOR THE WEAK HEARTED!

Sometimes i can vomit blood correcting these children.
Yet, they're so innocent I can't help but adore them for
the mistakes they made.

bi) He noticed that his fish tend to swim near the surface of the water. Why?
Standard Answer:
To get more oxygen from the surrounding since the water in the aquarium has limited air supply.

bii) Suggest two ways Ben can improve the condition of his fish tank, so that his fishes need not swim to the surface of the water constantly.
Standard Answer:
He can add some water plants and an air pump to his aquarium so as to supple more oxygen in the water.

See what I mean when i say i love and hate them at the same time?
These children... ... :)

Happy Valentine's Day

My new Love from DD.
He said it's my Valentine's Day Gift.

Yeah!!!!
I love my new Blackberry!

He got his non-camera HTC Snap phone as well.

Thank you DD.
You're loved!

My Silly Big Guy

Happy Birthday Desmond!

Before DD and i made way to Downtown East,
I had my Management Information System Module Understanding Test.
I almost couldn't make it to test!

My UT client and agent were down.
The internet in school couldn't be accessed so i can't download it.
And when I could,
the newer version is incompatible with my laptop!

Luckily after numerous restarts,
the client could work with the help of the thumbdrive!
I could upload the questions and answers onto that and submit it.

Close shave!

Meanwhile,
DD stayed in school and chatted with Kimberly
while waiting for me.
Kimberly is his Bud Bud.
A gorgeous babe whose company she's working for happens to be in my school.

Thumbs up for the BBQ food at Desmond's chalet !

Nave's strumming skills has definitely improved!

Whoever seen someone trying to blow out his candles from afar?

Nave trying his best to avoid Desmond's sudden 'attacks'!

As for Me?!

while the commotion is going on,
I am happily hiding in a corner eating the birthday cake. :)
