I made my way down to Icing room (Tampines) after my Sunday V-singer class to collect my Mini Do-it-Yourself Yule Log Cake.
Christmas is ALMOST HERE!
For those who doesn't know about this, Christmas is my favourite festive occasion! As you read on, you can listen to my favourite Christmas Song (favourite version) at the same time.

Icing Room reminds me of DIY.
Bought & designed a DIY birthday cake from icing Room with my younger sis & cousin for a good friend. We had so much fun decorating the cake together. I genuinely miss those days; times I felt so loved despite being in singlehood. Still, I feel blissful & complete now that I'm with MyDreamGuy. :)
Alright, I'm ready for my 2nd DIY cake but this time it's for Christmas!
Mini Design-It-Yourself Yule Log, $18.80 each
Flavours to choose from: vanilla, strawberry and chocolate
Available in-stores from 15 November
I chose chocolate.
Each DIY set includes a mini log, 5 piping cream and 2 Christmas icing décor
Additional festive-themed décor are sold separately.
I bought the 2 packets of deco & snowman separately.
Look at these Oh. My. Tian.
TOO CUTE!
Guide to DIY your mini Yule Log cake
#1 Brainstorm for a story.
#2 Go through all your decors and decide which are the designs you want on your cake.
#3 Set aside those decors which you think you won't be using.
#4 Following your storyline, decide where you want your decors to be & start decorating!
#5 Practice squeezing your cream on a piece of paper BEFORE you write on the cake. (Especially for those who've never done this before)
Eh babyboy, your letter 's' looks awkward.
It'll be easier once you get the hang of it.
Check out the results of practising:
What can you do with leftover decors?
Make a guess what they are made of first...
Then pop a piece in your mouth to sample the taste. (some taste better when consumed with the cake)
The gold stones are dark chocolates, yeah!
So how did our attempt turn out?

Naughty Xmas!
MyDreamGuy thought of a naughty Xmas theme where Santa stole Snowman's present of Love. Santa didn't realise that he had left trails of love(from the box) behind. Lucky finders who chance upon the trail receive love to keep for himself this Christmas. Now there's love for everyone this Xmas!

ReplyDeleteGreat post. Didn't know Icing Room offers log cakes for Xmas. Would certainly pop over and get a few for our xmas party activities. Good that we have one outlet at Tampines 1 (I stay near there too!).
