Almond Cookies

You Love Almond Cookies?
Here's how to bake it.

Personal experience:
I took about 1.5hrs to finish making these.
You can make about 80 pieces.

Here's the recipe you need:

A:
120g of almond powder ( also ground almond)
180g plain flour
120g caster sugar
1/4 tsp of salt
1tsp of baking powder
1tsp of baking soda

Take Note that tsp means tablespoon.
The big metal spoon you used to eat chicken rice.
NOT the small one you use to stir your coffee/tea with.

B: 120ml of cooking oil( corn or sunflower oil/use unflavoured oil pls)

C: 1 egg YOLK. (only egg yolk)

Mix (A) together into a big bowl like this:

Pour in the cooking oil.

Mix it well with your hands.(remember to wash them with soap!)

It will not be kneaded into those bread or cake dough.
It will look something sticky but dry.
Something like what's below:

Find yourself a comfortable place.
Grab the amount of the size about a 20-cent coin.
Make it round and nice.
Then place it on the baking trays with tracing paper.

At this point,
in order to save time,
start to pre-heat the oven at 180 degrees first.

Afterwhich, prepare an egg with ONLY THE YOLK in a bowl.
Find a brush or use your may use your index finger.
Spread a thin layer of egg yolk on each of the mixture.

not too much otherwise the cookie will turn dark brown.

Once the first tray is filled and the oven hot enough,
push the tray in.
Although the recipe book says to bake about 15-20min,
mine only took about 12min.

Do make sure you don't overcook it.
Try to make the rest of the cookies while tending over the oven once in awhile.
Make sure the outside's not too brown.

But also,
don't take it out below 10min because the inside might not be cooked yet.

Alot of yolk and little yolk- can tell the difference?

Last of all,
make sure the cookies are ENTIRELY cool before packing it into the bottles.
Otherwise it'll be soft the next day.

GOOD LUCK UPON YOUR FIRST TRY!

I've gotten a new hair cut!

Fulfilling what i meant.

"I will be a high-flyer at the age of 26!"

I remembered declaring this to someone sometime last year.
I didn't forget;
nor did I ever have 2nd thoughts about it.

He left me eventually.
But this mentality hadn't budge from my mind one bit.
I am fully certain I want to achieve it.
I will succeed and endeavour onto greater heights without fail.
Eventually, i'll embark on my own business,
focus and concentrate on working hard to provide for my own family.

I work triple harder than I ever did.
I learnt new skills to prepare me for the future.

The only difference is that
I've Someone here to walk with me now.

Someone who truly wants the better of me.
Someone who accepts me for who I am.
Someone who is there for me to encourage and give advice.
Someone who sincerely cares.
Someone who dotes on me like everything in the world.
Someone whom I trust as much as he trusted me.
Someone who really really wants to grow up, and learn, together with me.

I will never be alone on this journey again.
FYI, he works FULL TIME as my bf.
And this silly boy here,
never complains.

NEVER;
unlike some useless,
two-sided faces casanovas who had proven themselves
totally redundant in this Society.

Jackie Goh Chun How

For those who mentioned I'm not serious with him, i am.
For those who thinks u can be better than him as my bf, i think likewise.
For those who are my true friends, spare us your true blessings.
For those who are just watching the show, just eat your popcorn and
don't speak with your mouth full.

I had my worries before.
I had my doubts if we could last.
I hadn't trust his vows and promises as much as i do.
I am learning to.

I've brought this up to him before.
I feel in this world,
there aren't good and bad gfs/bfs.
It's just a mentality of whether you can accept this person,
or not.

Don't waste your time if you can't.
Don't let this r/s go just because you're too 'safe' in the zone.

有天我会找到我的唯一
还微笑祝福你

This is for Melvin, Jeremy and the person i was referring to earlier in this post.
(You know who you are).

But to Kenji Wee:
就算我找到我的唯一,
我也不会微笑祝福你。
I've never seen such a lousy person in my life.
Bringing him up now, my blood is beginning to boil advertently.

Significantly,
my hatred for him never seems to decrease.
Or maybe never.

Preparing For CNY

I'm One Step closer to CNY.
I can feel the shopping heat in me already.

WOhoooO!

Saw this Abalone Lo Hei and thought it'll be
a really nice gift for DD's grandmother.
I wonder if it's tasty and what's inside...

Like I've said,
i'm diligently enough to make CNY snacks at home!
The trouble is,
i've been running up and down NTUC and back home at least thrice to buy ingredients.

You need Cornflakes(4cups),

Sunflower Seeds(as much as you want)

Butter(60g)

1/4 cup of Honey + 2 tablespoons of sugar.

Heat it over low fire so as to melt it.

Keep stirring so that the bottom doesn't burn.

Mix well...

Preheat the oven at 170 degrees for about 15min.

Meanwhile, mix the cornflakes and sunflower seeds well.

Pour in the mixture of honey, butter and sugar and mix well again.

Auntie Ika helping me to lay out the cupcake moulds.

She said I look like a small girl,

fascinated to bake for the first time.

Heat it in the oven for 10minutes until it turns golden Brown.

Last of all, pack it when it's cool.

I'm baking almond cookies next!

Barbra Streisand - Woman in love (1980)

Life is a moment in space, when the dream is gone its a lonelier place
I kiss the morning goodbye, but down inside you know we never know why

The road is narrow and long, when eyes meet eyes and the feeling is strong
I turn away from the wall, I stumble and fall but I give you it all

I am a woman in love
And I'd do anything
To get you into my world
And hold you within
Its a right I defend
Over and over again
What do I do

With you eternally mine, in love there is no measure of time
We planned it all at the start, that you and I live in each other's hearts
We may be oceans away, you feel my love, I hear what you say
No truth is ever a lie, I stumble and fall, but I give you it all

I am a woman in love
And I'd do anything
To get you into my world
And hold you within
Its a right I defend
Over and over again
What do I do

I am a woman in love
And I'm talking to you
I know how you feel
What a woman can do
Its a right I defend over and over again

I am a woman in love
And I'd do anything
To get you into my world
And hold you within
Its a right I defend
Over and over again
What do I do

Georgia Gibbs

DD didn't know there was such a song.
Now he does,
thanks to all my jumpings-around while humming to this song.

Kiss Me Another
By Georgia Gibbs in 1955.

I found other of her songs while sourcing on You-tube.
I know them all because my Dad bought this non-stop Cha Cha mixed CD
when i was in Lower Primary.
We had it played on the CD player all day and night
while i tried to mimmick the Cha Cha Dance
using the footsteps-guide manual printed on the CD booklet.

Seven Lonely Days- One Of Georgia Gibbs' Biggest Hits.
It Charted # 5 in 1953.

Tweedlee Dee-In 1954
Chart peak #2 in 1955

Listening to this song makes me smile. :)

Elvis Presley actually sang a version of this too.

She has a beautiful voice.
And I aimply adore oldies.

Aww man,
I feel like dancing A-Go-Go this very second!!!
