The last part of this MV is a virtual Choir, where 30 friends from all over the world contributed to the vocals including Gim and I.

Back from Jakarta
Jakarta was much more amazing than I expected!
I had so much fun there with Trixy, our new found friend Mike Smith. He's a photo journalist and of course our Indonesian friends, Kesrul, Agung and Irwan!
It was a 4 day 3 night trip.

Flash Mob For Love; The Ultimate Singapore Wedding Proposal
This is one of the sweetest memories I get to keep for the rest of my life...
I'm doing this in the NAME OF LOVE; and purely love. For the 80+ people who shares this wonderful memory at the Singapore Flyer for doing something awesomely meaningful &amazingly beautiful, WE DID IT!!!

A group of friends did a Flash Mob wedding proposal together on Saturday to help a young man named Aaron, who planned to propose to his girlfriend, Tracy. The Singapore Flyer was where they had their first date. I was invited by my BFF, Felicia Sim, to join the flash mob via a private facebook event which Aaron's close friends had created about a month ago. The dance steps of the songs were also edited and uploaded for us to learn from home, specially done by his close friends.
At the Singapore Flyer, I was randomly asking around (as usual I'm very Kpo) and based on statistics gathered, most who came down to lend a helping hand had no direct friendship with Aaron. Most of us were friend's friend, friend's friend's friend & friend's friend's friend's friend! Like in my case, I was Felicia's friend and had no direct relationship with Aaron. So while the close friends planned and organised everything, we dance!
See how lovely these people are! (Uh-hem, self praise. Bleah~)
Starting as early as 1pm (I reached only at 5.20pm after my Liveomusic show), friends were already at the scene decorating the place, setting up the speakers, rehearsing for the flash mob later. Prior to that, there were also dance practices organised by a dance crew from CCK ITE Collage West for everyone who came forward to help out.
The Changing Point Productions Crew was also there to film down this wonderful event!
Traditional saying: If you are doing an outdoor shoot and hope it doesn't rain, place some onions & chilli at the venue to 'ward off the rain god'. We were so kiasu, we placed onions & chilli ALL AROUND the theatre, and even throw them all over the grass patches. They were everywhere! Miraculously, it worked!
The rain stopped even though it was raining earlier!
To show my utmost support for such a loving boyfriend, I joined the flash mob too, even though throughout the flash mob I chose a spot right at the back so that I can 'smoke through' the crowd. I had no time to learn the steps at all and there was only 30minutes left for me to learn the dancesteps to 2 songs: All I Want For Christmas Is You and All About You by Mcfly.
Impossible but I did it.
Final rehearsal:
By 6pm, all of us were dispersed into the crowd until the song, All I want for Christmas is you, was heard; our call since most of us couldn't recognise Tracy at all.
To avoid suspicion, I decided to bring my camera around for photo-taking sessions with friends who were there for the Flash Mob too!

Look who I bumped into, SEAN, the man who first started The Changing Point Productions(TCP)!
TCP is a Singapore-based independent film production group doing online youth drama productions. They are also Singapore’s 1st Online Broadcaster for Online Drama Serials. You can engage them for film-making or videography services too!
Thick skinned enough to pull Aaron(THAT loving boyfriend I was praising about all this while) for a quick shot even though he was SUPER busy.:

While the dancers were positioning themselves comfortably outside the theatre, things were even more happening back inside!
Inside, Aaron's brothers were dolling themselves up for the ultimate task: Dance to Super Junior's song with the actual steps! Yes, Tracy adores SuJu (I know you too!!! *squeal*). At about the same time, Tracy & Aaron's families, who were invited to witness THE MOMENT, arrived.

The plan:
Tracy's best friend, Kaile, who was already shopping with her since afternoon, was to lead her to the ticketing booth eventually; the best view to watch the flash mob. She would encourage Tracy to join the gathering crowd to check out 'some dance' for 'some Singapore Flyer event'. When the song reaches the last line of the chorus 'All I want for Christmas... is YOU...', all the dancers had to point to Tracy and guide her to walk to the theatre by forming a human chain.
Inside the theatre, the brothers and the man himself will dance to a Super Junior's song. Thereafter, another flash mob will be done to the song All About You by Mcfly. Then, Aaron will propose to her.
With the plan all set, the final task was to wait for the female lead to arrive while I continued going around to snap more photographs.

When Tracy arrived, everyone got into position and started dancing their best, including me which explains why I didn't record anything of the dance. BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT, I had specially requested for the video to be placed here to share with everyone! (Will do so once I get it)

Everyone was cheering so loudly that it almost blew the roof down!
The 2nd flash mob is going to start in a jiffy, I gotta go!
And she said YES!
By the way Aaron, what kind of question was most important when you asked, "Baby, will you... want to see me dance again?"
I'm kidding.
It was the sweetest moment ever!!!

To me, this flash mob for love is not only about Aaron's Love for Tracy, but also about the love of the couple's friends, the love and blessings from their kin & close friends, and the love of other friends for their friends!
This event filled the night sky with so much love, it means so much to me.

[BRAND'S] Wang Lee Hom is here in Singapore!
Behind this close door is the moment I've been waiting for all my life...
It's not my wedding day yet!
What were you thinking?
I was highly anticipating to meet an international superstar, Wang Lee Hom!!!
He walked in with so much poise and when he has taken his seat, everyone else in the room wasted no time and shot him with what seems like endless rounds of questions, where he managed to pull off every single one with ease. Cheers!
BRAND'S Music Changes Lives media conference with Wang Lee Hom was awesomely insightful. The passion he carries for his music career is something we ALL should applaud for.
I feel totally motivated & inspired by him, TOTALLY!
To summarize the session, he urges aspiring musicians never to give up. Even for him, failures happen all the time. It's unavoidable that people will doubt you, doubt your songs. Success is when you keep trying, else where, until you succeed. He also urges the chinese media to publish more positive articles to compliment artistes instead of picking on & enlarging the slightest mistakes they make. Instead of competing, he voices out how the chinese media industry can be like the K-pop industry, where different artistes from different recording companies are so united, to the extent that they came together to organise a K-pop awards show in a foreign country like Singapore!
I was nodding my head throughout, with tears in my eyes, wishing I had a chance to give him a bear hug and say,"thank you for believing, Sir!"
Whatever he had said got me so motivational that I am going to give it my best shot in the coming year 2012. I want my music to be recognized, my voice heard. Years down the road, I aspire to be someone like Wang Lee Hom, maybe not in terms of success, but a small voice who can help spread and urge the C-pop industry to be united and strong, just like what he's doing now!
Running for its 2nd year now, Brand's Music Changes Lives Challenge is a competition held on Singapore's online website, STOMP. As compared to last year, the contest this year attracted FOUR times more entry submissions, with a total of up to 68 entries! Not only that, it has also attracted a greater musical diversity from gu zheng to modern electric guitar & percussion instruments. Watch past entries here.
Of all, 4 talented finalists were selected from a combination of public voting and scoring by a panel of judges, including Ken Lim of Hype Records. Over a span of just 2months, the challenge attracted more than 67,000 votes!
What did the 4 finalists walk off with?
The FOUR excited finalists are ready to meet the media & all ready to wowed the audience with their debut performances:

Spruce Teo who performed If I Ain't Got You by Alicia Keys with his saxophone. He mentioned that he self-learnt this instrument through Youtube tutorials. His friends were full of praises for this aspiring young man!
Michelle Soh, a pianist who awed the crowd with the song, Schubert's Impromptu Op 90 No 2. I was dumbfounded with her piano skills! From her introductory video, I could tell she's such a bubbly person by nature!
Andy Chong. The first performer who did Let's Go with his band. He's a CHINESE! My first impression of him was a malay until he conversed in mandarin with one of the journalists. Oh yes, he was playing the electric guitar. First of all, he charmed me with his dimpled smile. Then, his sense of humour added a few plus points. Last but not least, i think he looks a little(to me alot) like Gu Ju Ji, 古巨基 !
I so LIKE him!
Giam Yue Ling is a violinist who performed Beethoven Virus. The youngest of all, she seemed really nervous on stage even though she had been participating in violin contests since the age of 4.

I sat next to Angie Chew. She's a musician herself with the sweetest voice you can ever imagine, who's having her Yamaha Electone music test this week. Best of Luck, babe, SUPPORT!
After months of preparation and planning, the evening's showcase was opened by 2010's 4 finalists with the song, I got a feeling by The Black Eye Peas.

The clearest picture I got of Yue Ling:
The rest looked like this because she was swerving so much!
Tor+ is a sweetheart from Thailand. He was also present to spice up the showcase. I was so surprised that he chose to perform the song a chinese classic, 月亮代表我的心(Yue Liang Dai Biao Wo De Xin). What surprises me more was the accuracy of his pronunciation! He doesn't sound like a thai at all! (Previously traumatized by some thai club singers with their strong accent.)
Brand's Essence Of Chicken is one of my favourite drinks.
I was from a poor income family who couldn't even afford toys. Even so up to secondary school, my mum would lavish me on tonics like these once in awhile. On the day of my examinations, she would warm a bottle for me and I'll have it before I head to school. I remembered how I would take the slightest sips I can, trying to enjoy the chicken essence for as long as I can. Drinking this while writing this entry reminds me of the simplicity of life, on how much my mum loves me, beyond words could describe.
