Save My Bag, 100% From Italy - Read Until The End For A Tiny Christmas Surprise!

Merry Christmas!

By the way, here's what I'm listening to right now while blogging this post:

I'm going to share my jaw-dropping moments about their bag with you as well as ending this post with a Christmas-New Year Giveaway to a lucky individual who's reading this.

GOOD LUCK!

The First SAVE MY BAG Flagship Store in Singapore

Sings: SAVE MY BAG is coming to town!

Distributed in 30 countries and more than 700 selected boutiques worldwide, SAVE MY BAG (SMB) is now available in Singapore at Wheelock Place.

This new Italian brand is developed in Bergamo in 2013 by Stefano and Valentina Agazzi.

Valentina even flew in specially for the launch of its first flagship store in Singapore. She possesses such a sweet and gentle personality and is so likeable at first sight. I promised to bring her around Singapore the next time she visits :)

I was also delighted to meet two beautiful ladies, Christine and Melody, who brought in this brand to Singapore.

100% Made In Italy, SAVE MY BAG has more than 30 different colours and a total of 11 different models of which, 6 are currently available in Singapore. In 2016, SMB is looking at bringing in a total of 100 colours, which were recently launched in Milan.

As the name indicates,  SMB was originally an idea to protect our own bags, like a cover. It soon grew so full of personality that it became a cult bag of its own.

Look at the beautiful colours!

I can't wait to carry them all.
Now available in 30+ colours, 100 in Year 2016!

*Finds a Mirror*

Jaw-dropping Moment 01

I took one of the designs and was astonished to realise how light it felt the moment I carried it. Bags of SMB are made of Poly-Fabric with Lycra, a material use for sports and swimming apparels. Weighing barely 400grams, SMB is one of the lightest bag I've ever carried.

Not to mention that it can hold up to about 15KG of load.

Is it me or did I just notice that the material is glittered?

Jaw-dropping Moment 02

With the use of this material, SMB is not only light but also rain proof and washable by hand or in the washing machine. Just remember to set it to cold water and the delicate cycle function.

And you'll never have to bring out a dirty bag again!
Go for white, yellow, turquoise and even neon colours without fretting over having to clean it yourself, hohoho.

Jaw-dropping Moment 03

Call me a 'mountain-tortoise' but this is the first time I'm seeing a 'made in Italy' tag.

The base of the bag has a layer of hard-board support so you don't have to worry about your SMB bag losing its shape.

Very soon, the rest of us followed suit.

Everyone showing off their favourite colours.
You'll be surprised that these bags cost less than S$200 each.

(Pssstt... Some of us are doing a giveaway too. Visit their blogs to find out more!)

N.E.Mation! 10: Together We Keep Singapore Strong Part 2/2 (Team ZLS)

[MinuteManSG: "It's celebration time!!!"]

3 weeks of production for the Top 10 finalists of NE10 has finally come to an end, Colin and I would like to seize this opportunity to reflect on what we've observed and learnt from our teams revolving around this year's N.E.mation theme:  Together We Keep Singapore Strong.

Stepping into SG50, many vivid incidents happened:
The passing of our founding father, Free public transport, the SG50 celebrations and SG50 events!

[MinuteManSG: "And my birthday!"]

As the theme goes, this is the start of the next 50 years, it is a good time to reflect on and reaffirm the strength, values and beliefs that have brought Singapore this far and, more importantly, the values that reside within each and every Singaporean to take Singapore forward. Together, we will continue to play our part to keep Singapore strong.

[MinuteManSG: "And this is how we think Team ZLS has helped, in their own special way, to keep Singapore strong."]

We wrote one about Cedar3 too, read about it HERE.

TEAM ZLS

1. Their participation in N.E.mation! 10.

Getting holidays burnt so that they can conveying the message of coming together to fight crisis through their animation clip via national TV. In the Nutshell, their clip is about Soccer Team Singapore VS Soccer Team Crisis. Stay tuned to the release of their final clip in January and vote for them to win! Let's hope they score with their animation!

2. Behind the Scenes

[MinuteManSG: "ZLS had to master the skill of adaptation when faced with manpower problems. When they first got into the finals of N.E.mation! 10, they had a lack of expert drawing skills in their team. But using their quick wits, they recruited their master drawer, Shofia, to join them in the finals."]

And during the first week of production, ZLS was basically a 3 man team, because Lutfi was overseas and would only be back at the beginning of week 2. But despite the shortage of manpower team ZLS persevered on with whatever they could do during the first week, and when Lutfi rejoined them on week 2, things started to get a little smoother.

Despite always racing against the clock, Team ZLS was always encouraging each other and helping one another whenever possible. Even Tiger Balm patches came to the rescue for Shao Jun who injured his shoulder. Singapore Boleh!

Being one of the quieter teams in N.E.mation! 10, it took a while for Team ZLS to open up and get to know some of the other teams. But eventually they overcame this barrier and began to foster new friendships with new friends from other teams!

Being able overcome obstacles like these and learning how to network are some important strengths that contribute to Singapore's future in terms of Total Defence.

[MinuteManSG: "Singapore may be an island, but we cannot survive on our own."]

Thank you N.E.mation! for 10 years of sharing. It has indeed came a long way in terms of spreading the word and awareness about Total Defence through the creativity and imagination of our homegrown students.

And what better way to bring all these like-minded people closer together that to have an awesome wrap party to celebrate the end of the grueling 3 weeks of production as well as N.E.mation!'s 10th birthday!

[MinuteManSG: "Check out the confetti showers!"]

At the wrap party, many previous alumni from the past seasons of N.E.mation! came down to celebrate this special occasion with us. One of the Top 10 students from N.e.mation! 1 came back to say hi! Meet Jian Liang! He is in university now.

It's so heartwarming to know that N.E.mation! has given the participants such a wonderful experience that they still remember it and are willing to come back to celebrate even after so many years!

Meet Jian Liang from the very first N.E.mation! campaign, who's currently studying University (graduating soon!)

I also managed to meet up with the students from my previous teams from N.E.mation! 8!
Say hello to my angels from UNIcorns & rainbows;) & Sze Yong from SYNCH.

The girls have just completed their O levels while Sze Yong is currently studying in Singapore Polytechnic.

Come, let's take a look at our group photos 2 years ago~

TEAM Cedar3

Team Cedar3 holding on to their copies of roomiesCD album comprising of 10 local original compositions.

1. Their participation in N.E.mation! 10.

Getting holidays burnt so that they can conveying the message of coming together to build a stronger Singapore through their animation clip via national TV. In a nutshell, their clip is about people from different walks of life coming together to paint beautiful picture of Singapore.

[MinuteManSG: "Keeping to the theme of the past 2 weeks, here's another pixelated preview of one of their awesome paintings! Stay tuned to the release of their final clip in January and vote for them to win! Such Creativity!"]

2. Behind the Scenes

We would first like to praise these bubbly girls for having the diligence, commitment and speed to finish all their paintings and recordings on or before time.

[MinuteManSG: "Who says kids who like to play and have fun can't get things done?"]

[MinuteManSG: "Keeping true to their vision that they started these 3 weeks with, of making new friends with the other 9 teams, the girls from Cedar3 bribed won their way into the hearts of the other teams with their constant moral support and free food gifts."]

And I always believe that you will always get back more than what you give. And the picture below proves just that. Apart from making new friends, they also get to enjoy fun times together such as this impromptu shadow show put on by team Rockin' Tomato just opposite their working area!

[MinuteManSG: "Here... Have a juicy apple my dear CEDARellas..."]

Their kindness and bubbliness lifted the spirit of all the teams and brought happiness to everyone.

3. How N.E.mation campaign has helped to keep Singapore Strong!

[MinuteManSG: "Food! Oh glorious food!!"]

I had the honour of meeting one of the Top 10 finalists from N.e.mation! 1 personally, who had came back to say hi! Meet Jian Liang, who is currently studying in university now.

And of course, all of this would never have been possible without the dedication and commitment of...

...Our wonderful instructors!!

These are the people in the background who helped and encouraged the students every step of the way and gave them valuable tips and advice on how to make their animation clips even more impressive.

[MinuteManSG: "I believe I'm representing every single one of the students when I say this: Thank you instructors! We couldn't have done it without you guys!"]

So this marks the end of the 3 weeks of production, and we will be looking forward to the winner of this N.E.mation! 10, who will be walking away with a fully sponsored overseas trip to visit a renowned animation studio in the USA!
