Bubby, you don't need to spray your feet, it's for Me!

The spray is made of mainly pumpkin extract, beetroot, phytoncide and sansevieria. Apart from relieving your exhausted legs, it improve uncomfortable door from feet too!

In the office, spray it on your feet to ease your feet odor as you're changing shoes please.

The spray is even more suitable for people like me who's always on-the-go due to my job nature.

I'm someone who will wear my heels out and end up buying and changing into new pumps by mid-day. I. DREADS. WEARING. HEELS. My sole hurts like mad but I've barely walked to the lift lobby from my door step!

LJH Hankook Foot Leg Energizer

It's worse when I'm wearing stockings; can't apply anything to ease that ache. #FML

LJH Hankook Foot Leg Energizer

LJH Foot And Leg Energiser Treatment however, allows me to spray it over the stocking as it is!
For me, I'll spray it on the stocking a few times and gently pat/massage on the sprayed area with my hands.

I also find it useful to use the foot and leg spray after my workout.  The cooling sensation and fragrance of the spray helps to relieve my leg-muscle ache (calf area).

Oh by the way, meet my newly 'hired' Personal Trainer, MinutemanSG.
Basically I just 'pay' him with awesome homecooked meals. :p

Colin is a taekwando instructor who has won trophies and medals at tournaments + combat instructor.  You should've seen his shelf of glory. I wonder how this petite guy can do so well in sports, gaming yet still graduate with first-class honours and even won a special award for his studies!

Babyboy, I'm depending on you to get me to slim down and get my ABS.
*impose pressure. hehehe*

[Singapore Blog Awards 2013] Vote for me in the JBL Best Pop/ Music Blog Award Category for SBA2013!

Last month, I shared my personal thoughts on
WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN SINGAPORE BLOG AWARDS.
It was also the nomination and registration stage then.

The 10 finalists for each of the main, specials and celebrity categories were announced yesterday.

WOHOOO~
I spotted many friends and BFFs who were also shortlisted as finalists.

CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU!

All voters can only vote for ONE person in each category everyday but under some of the categories, I know more than one friend! Guess I'd have to log in everyday to vote for a different person.
加油!

Having said that, yours truly(that's me) is also shortlisted in one of the categories which to me, is yet another significant milestone:
JBL Best Pop/Music Blog Category

Already preparing videos and photos of the speakers.
Here are some sneak peeks when the speakers first arrived.

The sound quality is so clear for both speakers, I can even hear the bassy beats as well as the stereo of the songs; something not all portable speakers can provide for their users.

I'm very excited, extremely excited!
Bite-size information about me using the speakers will be updated on my twitter and instagram so follow okies!

Meeting the other 9 Finalists

It's another blessing in disguise.

I'm extremely delighted to be a part of this category as I'd get to meet the other 9 talented finalists real soon and UP-CLOSE, yes!

Here they are, the 10 finalists of JBL Best Pop/Music Blog:

Singapore Blog Awards 2013 Music Blog Finalists

In fact, I've visited their blogs (including those who've registered) and felt a little embarrassed as the content they bring to their readers is really music-oriented whereas mine is more of lifestyle and very little music.

I particularly liked Deborah's blog.
I met her during the briefing.

She showcases her OWN originals and compositions on her blog.
I fell in love with her original song, Gomi x Gomi.
*Secretly cast my very first vote for her yesterday*

Other than Debbie, I personally know Noelle, Cookie Hui Jin and Luke Phang prior to blogging.
Noelle and I even went for KTV together previously! I'm so grateful that this kind-hearted young lady even came and helped me during my showcase.

SHE. CAN. SING. VERY. WELL.
Here's evidence :)

When she did a cover for Gwiyomi, I melted.
Awww.....
*Noelle I wanna pinch your cheeks la~*

Really, knowing these great people just motivates me to follow my heart and chase after my dream in music. So please please please, spend some time getting to know all the music finalists too.
They are so interesting and extremely gifted!

Direction Of Mint Leong Blog Content: Lifestyle-Music

I'll be extremely honestly with you.
I've always been.

My music-learning journey only began this YEAR (year 2013) so if you're expecting world-class musical compositions, in-depth insights about music theories and sound technology-related information, you'll have to find it elsewhere.

I don't even have a grade-1 piano cert.
Nor have I taken any proper vocal classes until I started the Ocean Butterflies Music Forest Vocal Ambassador Programme in April'13.

Instead,
I'm going to pin down little milestones I've made - my learning journey in music, like:

  • My keyboard classes I've taken on what I've learnt so far.
Life in Ocean Butterflies
Photo taken by Hpility.
  • My vocal lessons with Zhi Wen singing instructor and my funny classmates

Life in Ocean Butterflies
Zhi Wen Lao Shi on Mint Leong Instagram

  •  Anything about my music career programme (song writing course)
Life in Ocean Butterflies
  • Random music projects I've done (Jialat or not I will still upload. Try not to laugh until you get a tummy upset alrights.)

Life in Ocean Butterflies

  • Music gadgets which aid me in my music-making journey
  • Cover Songs

Of course, what are all these pictures without videos to check my progress over the months.
I'm consolidating them right now.
But here's a pre-warning: some videos are really CMI*
*CMI: Cannot make it

Of course, I'll continue to post up snippets of my lifestyle but going to balance up the ratio a little between lifestyle and music. (Come on, I also have a life right lol):
events, beauty, self-improvement.

.. Part and Parcel of Growing and YOU are reading it ..
I'm thankful that you're reading this now and here with me.

If you're reading this,
please support my blog with your votes.

It means a lot to me!

Basketball Clinic for Mediacorp MEon3 Ultimate Streetball Challenge

Meon3 Basketball

Mediacorp brings to you:
MEon3 The Ultimate Streetball Challenge

Basketball shooting in Orchard Road?!
The only sport I ever considered doing in such a place is (i'm gonna sound like a bimbo but i don't care) SHOPPING.

I DO know friends around me, many of them, participate actively in regular sports and exercises, mostly jogging and marathons. I know Cheryl Tay and Christine Ng did Bikram Yoga.  Sharlene, my good friend since secondary school, does Muay Thai, then a group of them was so into wakeboarding and so many others to name but basketball lovers?

Hmmm... perhaps the only friend I can think of for now is Smith Leong.

How do you think the response was like for MEon3 then?

My Sports Background

The love for sports runs in my family.

My uncles are badminton champions while my aunts and mummy played volleyball for years during their school days. When I was younger, we used to organise family outings like bowling, cycling, trekking and badminton sessions for the cousins and siblings.

I LOVE sports but I admit, I can't play them well.
During my school days, I've tried basketball, captain's ball, netball, floorball, poison ball, women soccer, girl's rugby, bowling etc. during PE lessons. I even took up golf. However I always end up with injuries such as a muscle tear, ligament tear, broken toe nail or/and crooked spectacles.

ALWAYS.
#ReflexFail

Later, I fell in love with leisure ice-skating, pool(snooker) and para-para dancing in secondary four.
There was also DDR (Dance Dance Revolution).

Aw come on, these are some forms sports too right- dance and skating?

Meon3 Basketball Clinic

To get myself warmed up and to revive those slam-dunk-craze days, I attended the Meon3 Basketball Clinic held at Anglican High School on Monday afternoon. Secondary School Students, both guys and girls, from about 20 schools located in the east of Singapore were present for the basketball clinic too!

Random:
As I stepped into the school, I tweeted to my music classmate Jona.
She was extremely excited because it's her secondary school.
She asked me whether her's school beautiful.

Indeed, indeed.
It's also big and spacious.

The students were already doing basketball drills and warm up exercises.

I got to know the names of some popular basketball players and receive updates on how the basketball scene is like. One of the names that remains vividly in my head is Steven Khoo who played for Singapore Slingers.

HE. IS. SO. TALL.

What impresses me most about Steven is his ability to double drill; meaning he can bounce 2 basketballs, 1 in each hand, AT the same time!

That's Steven on the extreme left:

Short introduction about Singapore Slingers from Wikipedia

The Singapore Slingers is a professional basketball team that currently competes in the ASEAN Basketball League. The basketball club formerly competed in the National Basketball League in Australia. It is the first - and so far, the only - Asia-based club to compete in the NBL when they joined at the start of the 2006/2007 season.

The students are so BLESSED because the coach-of-the-day is none other than the Malaysia's National Basketball League (NBL) commissioner, Tan Kee Hian.

Meet the bloggers who were with me:
(Left to right) Smith Leong, Maybeline Sim and Benjamin ChocolatePistol.
Finally after hearing his name for so long, I got to meet Benjamin. :D
Maybeline told me her peers in school couldn't recognise her in her fitness outfit!

Celebrity Appearances

Two special celebrity-guests Elizabeth Lee Qiao Er and Jeffrey Xu Ming Jie was invited to have a game with the students.

MEon3 Bsketball Clinic

During a short interview with Jeffrey Xu and Elizabeth earlier, they are extremely excited to be part of MEon3.

Inspired by the Japanese anime Slam Dunk when he was younger, Jeffrey still plays basketball with his peers sometimes while Elizabeth finds MEon3 meaningful as she gets to keep herself fit via playing a sport.

Both of them voluntarily signed up to be part of MEon3.
From the conversation, anyone can easily tell just how much both Jeffrey and Elizabeth are looking forward to 15 and 16 June!

Friendly MEon3 Basketball Matches

After more than an hour of warming up exercises and drills, it's match time!

The students were invited to team up with Jeffrey to play a friendly 3-on-3 match, 5 points to win. Jeffrey's team won!

Then, Smith was invited to team up with the Singapore slingers to compete against the student's team. Just to make it more interesting,  the student-players will have to do 5 push-ups should they lose the match. However, Smith and the Singapore slinger players had to do 10 push-ups for EVERY BALL they lost.

Team S (Students) VS Team SSS (Smith and the Singapore Slingers)

Eh, suddenly I realise there are so many names that begin with the letter 'S' in this post: Smith, Student, Singapore Slingers, Steven, Secondary School, Spalding...

Anyway, it was two friendly matches but super exciting to watch!
The LIVE ambience in the court is so different from watching on television.

I screamed a lot to support and cheer for Smith until Maybeline is most probably suffering from ears-ringing. OPS.

In the end, TEAM SSS WON by 1-point (from what I remembered).
What a close fight!

Meon3 Basketball-Shooting exercises

Thankfully it was much easier for the girls.

Elizabeth, Maybeline, a basketball teacher and I didn't know/ didn't know much about basketball so we were given something easier to accomplish -- aim and try to score points by shooting the ball into the basket from a distance.

5 points to win!

Praying for Elizabeth to score. Everyone was so engaged.

You can hear "ooooooooooo... Aiya" from the crowd when no one manage to score, or a cheer and some applause from the spectators when someone scores. The anticipation of basketballs to go through the basket so as to score.

Happy faces filled up the sports hall; simple joy of life.
